The Point Pleasant Environmental Commission is
proud to announce that it will be hosting its
Earth Day Celebration
at Community Park on April 17, 2010 from 12pm to 4pm
(rain date will be April 18, 2010)
The theme for this year's event is "H2O - Go with the Flow",
concentrating on the importance of clean water.
This year's event is once again setting up to be
a great one with food being provided by Jersey
Shore BBQ and Shorefresh Seafood, a petting zoo by
Little Bit Ponies and More, inflatable rides by
Spacewalk of Ocean County, entertainment by Sherman
Brothers Band with Ed Austin and Soup Sandwich
Band, the "Day on the Green" event by the Warriors
of Wrestling, and, as always, fun games and
contests for the kids. In addition, many exhibitors
and businesses have reserved space to show what
they are doing for the environment and for our
community.
The Commission is still accepting applications
from exhibitors and businesses that want to promote
the importance of clean water and to inspire the
awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's
environment, as well as support our event.
Please join us in spreading the word on what can
be done to keep our waters and the rest of our
planet clean. We look forward to seeing you all on
April 17th. Updates will be provided on the
Borough's Environmental Commission Facebook page
